grumpy Alex, Vincent, and Grannie May 29 Today was Grannie's birthday!  Alex was exhausted from school and the weather (93°+) so he is a bit grumpy in the pictures. The guacamole helped a little bit.  Alex helped make the icing for the "watergate cake". May 28 Vincent loves to put on other people's shoes.  He also likes to sit and read in the office/playroom.  Alex wore a costume for his field trip to the historic Seneca Schoolhouse,   dressed as "Bert", a boy from the 1880's whose father was a blacksmith.  Then there was some fun with a volcano kit he got for his birthday.   school pictures from Seneca Schoolhouse

Birthday pictures coming....Alex had a good day, he went to Mad Science Camp "Earth" and shared cupcakes with the class.  For dinner he wanted his favorite meal of steak, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. some pictures from Alex's birthday opening some cool gifts from Kathleen JD was in Romania last week so we entertained ourselves with lots of outside play, with some hot weather and cooler weather.  Alex likes to climb the dogwood tree in our backyard, and Vincent loves to kick the ball.  Snacks are fun too. Saturday Brushing teeth, tying shoes, yard on Saturday.  We had one nice day of sun.  Grannie came over and started cleaning the yard.  We moved a pot and discovered roly-polies and a centipede Alex enjoyed watching. to Altoona We drove up to Altoona on Sunday.  We found a great Bavarian restaurant in Hagerstown for lunch, Schmankerl Stube .  Then it was on to Altoona. Monday Snow, preparing for the Seder, having the Seder.  Playing the next day before leaving. more outside more Passover

Keeping busy while the weather stays cold and windy.  JD had some travels to LA and San Fran, there was some snow earlier in the month, and the boys have been playing, playing, playing indoors and out.  Alex had his friend Frank-Eli over, and Vincent likes to run around the yard with the recycling. pictures more pictures a few more

Vincent at preschool He loves to play in the water and clean.  Most of these were taken through the window in the door so he didn't know we were watching him.  The first two were taken by his teacher. more pictures. Alex finished up his Science Camp.  Among other things he made a birdhouse and bug catcher. The theme was Science in Motion: - Monday: Jr. Engineers - Tuesday: Machine Mania - Wednesday: Crazy Chemistry - Thursday: The Birds and The Beasts - Friday: Shutterbugs JD returned from his week in Chicago and Lincoln got a new bed.  Lincoln loves to watch the birds and rabbits and squirrels out the window.

After four years we retrieved our household belongings from storage.  It's great to have our furniture back and everything fits nicely in the "split-entry mid-century modern" house we are renting in Kensington. Random thoughts: -Next time we have movers, remove all lightbulbs.  They packed them.  Some still work! -Why did I store my pleather snow boots from 1994? -Who needs all those platters and hot plates? -Glad we saved the wooden car toy from Toots.  Vincent loves it. putting together furniture pictures moving day pictures more house more house pictures
